Our bank has received DOH registration and operates according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) similar to many private cord blood banks. International standards for cord blood preservation make it necessary to extract the maximum cell count for a high quality unit.

The fully equipped laboratories of “Biohellenika” Cell Therapy Centre will receive the samples from different hospitals on different times and will be processed within 24 hours. All the required tests are performed as international guidelines impose and all procedures followed are accredited.

“Biohellenika Cell Therapy Centre” is the only Cord Blood Bank in Asia that offers three (3) stem cell storage services. They are namely:

1. Storage of Hematopoietic Stem cells from umbilical cord blood.
2. Storage of Mesenchymal Stem Cells from the whole length of the umbilical cord, dental pulp and adipose derived stromal Mesenchymal stem cells
3. Storage of VSELs ( Very Small Embryonic- Like Stem Cells - that are found in the cord blood that can differentiate to from VSELs, they have created cardiomyocytes, lung covering epithelium, spermatocytes. and oocytes. These cells can be extensively multiplied without losing their differentiation potentials.
